The Winners - Bach of the Year Awards 2016

As voted by you, we’re proud to announce the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners and the Supreme Bach of the Year in the 2016 Bach of the Year Golden Piwa Awards.

Thousands of votes were received and we’d like to say thanks to all who participated in the search for New Zealand’s best baches.

Big congratulations go to Carrie Walshe, winner of a 3-night holiday for four people in the Supreme Bach of the Year! What a great way to start summer!

The Supreme Bach of the Year Award goes to the winner of the Best Quirky category, The Treehouse Waiheke Island. This magical property located in one of the Auckland region’s most popular holiday spots was a clear winner, receiving the most votes of any bach. With its private bush setting, romantic spa pool under the stars, and whimsical spiral staircase that leads to the lofty bedroom in the treetops, it’s clearly a favourite among voters and travellers alike.
